It’s back. Federal Appeals Court revives the minimum wage and overtime pay for home care workers. Now that overtime pay is the law of the land, the effects are being felt by consumers, caregivers and personal care agencies. Agencies are cutting back caregiver hours so they do not pass the increased costs to families who have hired caregivers for their elders. Caregivers may see their hours cut back or split with other staff to avoid overtime.
