Isolation and it’s effect on older adults has been in the news quite a bit lately. Some people have even called loneliness an epidemic. In England, The Posh Club was developed to provide a venue for older people to dress to the nines and dance the afternoon away.
The idea has been enormously popular and has spread to other several towns. Ideas such as these are needed everywhere. Although there are challenges to overcome (transportation and cost), a little creativity can solve these problems. The opportunity to move is especially appealing. We would love to see someone try this out in the states!
